On July 1st, 2019 Senate Bill 8 will take effect. This bill makes it a misdemeanor to sell or buy a firearm to any individual other than immediate family members.
Beginning July 1st, 2019 New Mexico Weapons will facilitate the sale of firearms between Private Parties, thus assisting law abiding citizens to remain in compliance with the law.
We do understand that 29 of 33 counties declared themselves 2A sanctuaries and wouldn’t enforce this essentially unenforceable crime anyway.
