Arisaka Type 38 Trainer Rifle, Ammo, Case, and Book SOLD

If you are collecting WWII rifles, military rifles, or are interested in some of the best rifles made, then the Arisaka should be near the top of your list. This particular rifle is in very good condition for it’s age and appears to have the original sling.

This is a standard 31″ barreled rifle before they reduced the length on the Type 99 or the Type 38 carbine or cavalry model.

It is assumed it was de-commissioned and given to a training academy as the mum has been cancelled and was made to look like the Tokyo/Kokura arsenal stamp was attempted..  If you look at the mum, you can see they have added 3 half circles which is how a rifle is marked to indicate it was “cancelled” from the Imperial service and made available for training.  It is called a “cancelled” mum, not an obliterated, ground, or otherwise defaced mum.

Optionally, you can also buy the Type 30 sword bayonet is the earlier and rarer type with a hooked quillion guard.  The bayonet is $150 and can be bought with the rifle or without.

Included is a 25rd box of ammo which is Chinese manufactured plus a 20rd box of modern ammo.  The new ammo sells for about $28 normally.  The rifles comes with the Doskocil case.

NOTE:  Many of these rifles are missing the dust cover over the bolt and the cleaning rod.   This rifle is complete with what appears to be the original sling.
