We proudly announce that we are a Rock River Arms dealer now.  Should have done this sooner, but better late than never.

When I was shopping for my first AR I wasn’t sure if I wanted a 5.56 or a 7.62 and I didn’t know where to being when it came to picking a manufacturer.  At the time I was in Minnesota and DPMS was the local manufacturer.  You want to be a homeboy and buy local, but being local didn’t mean being best.

My go to gun shop discussed what I wanted and told me two things.

  1.  5.56 is cheaper to shoot and lower recoil
  2.  buy a Rock River Arms AR-15

Rock River Arms is owned and operated by brothers Mark and Chuck Larson.Between 1981 and 1991 the Larsons worked at Springfield Armory, Inc., where Mark was the head armorer. From Springfield Armory, the Larsons went into partnership with Les Baer to form and build custom 1911 pistols. Parting ways with Les Baer in 1993, the Larsons began to build AR-15 type rifles for Eagle Arms in Coal Valley, Illinois.

Rock River Arms started in 1996 and soon developed a reputation as one of the finest builders of hand fitted custom 1911 pistols, and their NM frames and slides set new industry standards for tight tolerances, fit and finish.

They soon turned their manufacturing expertise and attention to detail into producing custom .223/5.56mm caliber “AR” style rifles. Their initial focus on tightening up tolerances and improving the fit, finish and reliability of their rifles was rewarded as the Rock River Arms NM A2 Rifle quickly gained popularity among high-power shooters.  They soon became known as the under MOA manufacturer.

RRA had just won several contracts.  The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) put a variety of different manufacturer’s rifles through an exhaustive trials process, and based on those trials awarded Rock River Arms with a 5 year contract as their primary supplier. Since that time Rock River Arms has received additional federal contracts.

It seemed I had no other choice and I purchased an RRA AR-15 carbine.

In addition to providing excellent products and service, they are affordable compared to other top-tier manufacturers. Being able to buy directly from RRA allows me to discount their products, passing along substantial savings.

As a believer in what I sell, I just ordered a new AR-15 to use in the CMP/NRA Service Rifle category.
